The Weekly Newsletter is our Middle and Upper School newsletter for parents of the students. This Newsletter comes out each week with the news of the past week as well as future events and items of interest for the parents.

Dear Parents,


The end of the school year is a very busy time for everyone. We’d like to give you a schedule of some important events.

May 29 - June 1                        Grade 9 Girls Canoe Trip
June 1 – June 4                        Grade 9 Boys Canoe Trip
Monday, June 2                        Meeting for Parents of the NEW Grade 7 students:     7:45 pm in the Lower School Library
Tuesday, June 3                        Meeting for Parents of the CURRENT Grade 7 students:   7:45 pm in the Lower School Library
Thursday, June 5                        Upper School Farewell Assembly: 9:40 am, Assembly Hall
                                                Middle School Awards Assembly: 1:00 -3:00 pm,                       
                                                9th Grade Graduation and Student Appreciation Ceremony:    7:30 pm, Assembly Hall
Saturday, June 7                        Upper School Awards Assembly: 1:00 pm
Sunday, June 8                        Seniors arrive for group photo: 12:30 pm, L.S. Lobby            
                                                Senior Graduation: 1:30 pm, Assembly Hall


Please note the following:
Last PE class of the year for all grades: Wednesday, June 4
No Program in the Hall of Bliss for Upper School: Thursday, June 5
Grade 9 students will have their graduation photo after Program on Thursday, June 5
No lunch will be served in the Assembly Hall Thursday, June 5 OR Friday, June 6
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Friday, June 6 – This will be a fun day for all students, grades 7 – 12. Permission slips will follow.

From the Athletic Department:

If your child is planning to participate in any sports next year, he/she must have a physical.  All students who will be in 7th and 8th grade next year need to have one.

Physicals will be available in the Athletic Department across the hall from the Lower School office with Jody Loin, RN. No appointments are necessary. A sign up sheet will be available and Physicals will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

The fee is $20 per Physical payable by check to: Jody Loin.

A physical form needs to be filled out and signed by parents, before the physical is given. You may pick up a form from the Athletic Department Office ahead of time. If you have any questions, please call the Athletic Department at 472-9400 ext. 5535

Dates and Times for Physicals:
Wednesday, May 28th, 5:00-7:30 pm
Thursday, June 5th, 5:00-7:30 pm
In August:
Saturday, August 23rd, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Wednesday, August 27th, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
A special note from Jody: Please do try to come on one of these dates as doing Physicals individually at her home can become a challenge.                                              


Leah Levin will be leaving the School at the end of this year. We are looking for an efficient, responsible, cheerful mother to take her place. This is a full-time job in the Girls School (9:00 am to 4:00 pm with occasional Saturday mornings). The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with students, parents, and teachers. She will be organized, and will have some computer skills. Please contact Terry Weiss, extension 5096, if you are interested.


There will be no School on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. Have a great long weekend!
