Media Centers

Maharishi School’s media centers are well equipped to give our students and faculty the skills and support they need. The libraries for Lower School and the Middle and Upper Schools have over 18,000 books for our students’ use and enjoyment, and provide quiet areas for leisurely reading, or for group study.

The media centers are equipped with computers and printers and the whole school is wired for ethernet, with computer access in every classroom. Audiovisual equipment and LCD projectors are available for presentations by students and faculty. Our trained librarians are committed to developing the information literacy skills of our students so they will be well prepared to be independent lifelong learners.

At the Upper School level the goal is to build on the information literacy skills gained in the Lower and Middle School and prepare our students for college level research.

The Iowa Area Education Agency makes available to students and faculty various recommended internet resources. These are available to the students at school and at home, and are user name and password protected.
