Students take Grand Champion and Third Place at State Science Fair

Bimba Shrestha, 11th grade, and Pranav Chhayillil, 7th grade, continue to garner awards in science. At the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa they won the following awards:

Bimba Shrestha:

• Overall Senior High Project Champion, $1,200
• Category of Computer Science: 1st First Place
• Intel Excellence in Computer Science award
• Yale Science & Engineering Association award
• Jolene Schwinger Memorial Senior Award Top Physical Project

Pranav Chhalliyil:

• 7th Grade Biological Division: 3rd Third Place
• Broadcom Masters Award

These honors follow both students winning Grand Champion at the senior and junior levels in the Eastern Iowa Science and Engineeering Fair a few weeks ago. They have won free trips to present at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in May.
