Pioneer Golfers Edged Monday in Fort Madison

FORT MADISON — New Indian School fell via tiebreaker Monday to Holy Trinity at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison.

The two teams tied at 187, but the host Crusaders were granted the win when their fifth-highest individual score came in lower than Maharishi’s.

Despite the loss, the Pioneers featured the meet medalist in Mickey DeAngelis, who fired a 40 for the honor. Also for the Pioneers, Prasad Monk shot a 45, Davin Titus scored a 49 and Brandon Prather-Huff rounded out the team score with a 53.

Nathaniel Zhu (55) and Thomas Bousquet (60) also shot for the Pioneers.
