Maharishi School First in Boys Tennis Invitational

The Maharishi School boys tennis team took the title of the tournament they hosted Saturday winning a total of 210 games. The Pioneers came out on top in each division including Sam Arsanjani at number on singles, Derek Thatcher and Thomas Weiss the one doubles, each racking up a score of 53, Raffi Gelfand the 2 singles plus Brenton Schwartz and Solaris Nite the 2 doubles spot, both of those racking up 52 points apiece. They also had JV player David Fleshman take 2nd at 2 singles with a score of 35.

On Friday Maharishi School ripped Iowa City High 8-1. They took 5 of 6 in singles including the top 4 of Arsanjani, Weiss, Thatcher and Gelfand plus number 6 with Schwartz. Sweeping the doubles were Weiss and Thatcher at one, Arsanjani and Gelfand in the 2 match plus Nite and Schwartz at number 3.

Davis County was 2nd of 6 winning 137 games at Maharishi School Saturday. Mustangs finishing 2nd were Kyle Graves and Damen Dixon the one doubles scoring 40, Clayton Hulsizer and Austin Erwine 35 points in the 2 doubles bracket and Park Michaels totaling 33 in the number one singles division.

The Maharishi School JV squad took 4th at 116. Fairfield was last with 36 games won.
